Xbox releases its Gold September lineup: Everything you need to know

The latest batch of Xbox Games with Gold has been announced, and users will be able to add the four games to their library starting in September. Two Xbox One games are included in the batch, as predicted, as are two Xbox 360 games that can be played on newer devices thanks to backward compatibility.

Xbox Games with Gold is a monthly subscription service that allows gamers access to a new range of games. While each month’s offers may differ, users can usually expect four games, two of which will be Xbox 360 games.

At least for Xbox One games downloaded through Games with Gold, the subscription operates similarly to PlayStation Plus, with gamers being able to keep their downloaded titles for as long as their subscription is ongoing. Even after canceling a subscription, Xbox 360 titles purchased through the program will remain available. LEGO Batman: The Video Game and Conker: Live & Reloaded are two previous Games with Gold titles.

Microsoft has announced the Xbox Games with Gold lineup for September 2021, which includes Warhammer: Chaosbane and Mulaka for Xbox One.

Zone of the Enders HD Collection and Samurai Shodown 2 will be the Xbox 360 games. The games have been shown in a new Xbox teaser that shows the games in action and gives Xbox fans who are unfamiliar with the titles a taste of what to expect.

Warhammer: Chaosbane will be available for download on September 1, Mulaka on September 16, and Zone of the Enders HD Collection on September 16.

Samurai Showdown 2 will be available on September 16. The titles will be available to players with an Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

Samurai Showdown 2, being one of the most popular games on the list, is expected to draw a large number of Xbox lovers thanks to Games with Gold. To win, 15 fan-favorite heroes must hack and slash their way through their opponents in this classic fighting game.

With the addition of new moves and an improved Rage system, Samurai Showdown 2 improves on its predecessor. When the Rage gauge is full, attack power increases, allowing special techniques to be used to take down opponents.

Xbox Games with Gold members have had another successful month. Up to four players can play together in local or online co-ops in Warhammer: Chaosbane for some fun with pals, while the magnificent landscapes of Mulaka’s Mexico will make for the perfect solo experience.

Meanwhile, fans of Hideo Kojima should spend some time with the HD collection if they haven’t yet played Zone of the Enders. Samurai Shodown 2 and Warhammer: Chaosbane will be available until September 30th, Mulaka will be available until October 15th, and Zone of the Enders HD Collection will be available until September 15th.
