Computer data is information processed or stored by a computer. This information can be in the form of text documents, images, audio clips, software programs, or other types of data. Computer data can be processed by the computer‘s CPU and stored in files and folders on the computer‘s hard drive. At the most basic level, computer data is a set of 1s and 0s, called binary data. Since all computer data is in binary format, it can be created, processed, saved and stored digitally. This allows the use of network connections or various multimedia devices to transfer data from one computer to another. After repeated use, it will not deteriorate or decrease in quality over time.
