A Biden organization official has gone to India to talk with authorities and confidential industry about US endorses, the Treasury Department said, as Washington looks to hold India’s acquisition of Russian oil back from rising.
Elizabeth Rosenberg, the associate secretary for Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes, will visit New Delhi and Mumbai through Thursday, a Treasury representative said on Tuesday.
Another senior US official told the Reuters news organization on March 31 that a huge expansion in Russian oil trades by India could open New Delhi to “extraordinary gamble” as Washington gets ready to move forward with the requirement of approvals against Moscow after its attack on Ukraine.
Rosenberg’s visit is essential for a more extensive Biden organization work to spread out to accomplices and partners all over the planet to consult with authorities and industry about the execution of US endorses and trade controls, the Treasury representative said.
