Black Widow Hints At The Amazing Existence of Mutants – Could Natasha Be One?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has yet to introduce mutants, but Black Widow has hinted at their presence, and is Natasha one herself?

The MCU has given its main biggest hero’s three movies, but it has taken the studios so many years to given Natasha Romanoff her own.

The Black widow movie is part of MCU’s phase 4 and has answered many questions of Natasha’s past while also telling and setting up stuff for the future.

Black widow follows Natasha as she flees the flight between Team Captain America and Team Iron Man and returns to Russia between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity war.

She reunites with her Russian family and encounters a criminal known as the Taskmaster who has a close connection with Dreykov (Ray Winstone) and the Red Room.

Natasha’s time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe came to an end when she sacrifices herself to Vormir in Avengers: Endgame, but it left a few unanswered questions, such as – who are her real parents and what made her so special to be taken to the Red Room – the answers to these questions could introduce mutants into the MCU.

Natasha was known to have been taken to the Red Room for training prior to the release of Black Widow. This was a top-secret Russian training program conducted by Dreykov that used methods like brainwashing, reprogramming, intensive physical training, and another method to transform orphaned girls into elite assassins (called Black Widows).

It is unclear what Dreykov was searching for in each person, but the way he spoke about Natasha could point to something significant in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Natasha was picked for the Red Room program because of her genetic profile which made her a good candidate, but was this because she has mutant genes?

Mutants are one of the many concepts, characters, and more than the fans have been waiting to see in the MCU, and while characters like Scarlet witch and Quicksilver (who are mutants in the comics_ have been introduced as Enhanced Individuals due to Disney’s lack of right to use the term “mutants”.

However, because Fox is now Disney, they are now allowed to use the term “Mutant” but it has yet to do so.

Natasha might have been one of the mutants teased to be coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe shortly which is why she was picked for the Black Widow program and became one of the best assassins to emerge from the Red Room.

It’s unclear whether this was a subtle hint at the possibility of mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but if accurate, this could be the most important thing Black widow has set up.

Natasha’s journey is already complete, this black widow arrived too late in the MCU’s history, but if she turns out to be a mutant, and that’s why Dreykov chose her, her solo film would have a much greater impact on the future of Marvel.
